The 14 institutes of the Fraunhofer Agriculture and Food Industry Alliance contribute their expertise to offer solutions along the entire value chain with their unique scientific infrastructure and interdisciplinary know-how. The Fraunhofer IMWS focuses on the intersections of the food industry with packaging (e.g. functionalization), dental health (e.g. caries protection), hygiene (e.g. antibacterial coating) and proteins (e.g. food supplements).
