Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWSCooperation with Max Planck Gesellschaft on Heusler Compounds
The Fraunhofer IMWS, together with two Max Planck Institutes in Dresden and Halle, is researching into which structural and chemical options are available to produce new types of materials on the basis of intermetallic Heusler phases, which have good permanent magnetic properties but do not contain any rare earth elements.
