Composite-Sandwich Conference

In 2024, the Fiber Composite Sandwich Conference will take place in Halle for the third time.

Sandwich construction based on fiber-reinforced plastics enables highly efficient lightweight structures and thus already makes an enormous contribution to conserving resources in a wide range of applications.

While "lightweight construction" is a very broad topic at many meetings and conferences, there are only a few conferences worldwide that focus on sandwich construction and sandwich core materials. ThermHex Waben GmbH and the Fraunhofer IMWS are organizing the Fiber Composite Sandwich Conference in Halle (Saale) to exchange knowledge on current trends in material and technology development in the field of fiber composite sandwich construction.

In addition to the professional exchange and the opportunity to network, new fields of application for sandwich materials will be presented and discussed. Conference participants will also be offered a visit to the ThermHex Waben GmbH production facility and a guided tour of the Fraunhofer Pilot Plant Center for Polymer Synthesis and Processing on the evening before the conference.
